The nominees for the 2009 Laureus World Sports Awards have been announced, and they include Julien Absalon, Stephanie Gilmore, Aaron Hadlow, Tanner Hall, Kelly Slater and Shaun White in the Action Sportsperson of the Year category. Absalon has won two Olympic gold medals in a row for cross-country mountain biking. The North Face recently released a new iPhone app designed to help users find trails for hiking, mountain biking and over a dozen other activities, Mashable reports. The app, entitled Trailhead, pulls its routes from EveryTrail, a database with Corum 373.515.20/V810 BN75 Men's watch over 350,000 trips around the world. The trails are searchable by proximity (determined by the iPhones GPS or by zipcode), activity, distance and ratings.
